Its no news that the joint admission and Matriculation board jamb has decided to finally release candidates result online after the long wait.

Although the wait was so long that it made a lot of candidates to start wondering what’s the problem and if everything is alright but thanks to God who made it possible for JAMB to listen to the cry of candidates.

We are not here to discuss about why it took jamb so long to release the results but we are here to discuss a more pressing issue that affects all candidates who sat for the exam and are yet to see their results online.

There are diverse ways to check your results online but the most easiest of them all is by checking your results via SMS/text messages via a short code 55019.

We are going to share with you how to send the SMS in the right formats so as not to get a rejection or failure in response along the line.

How to Check 2023/2024 JAMB Result With SMS via 55019?

send UTMERESULT, via SMS, to 55019 or 66019 using the same number used for registration

First send UTMERESULT to 55019

  1. Type RESULT
  2. Send it to 55019
  3. Wait for few few minutes to get a response.
  4. SMS charges is 50 naira.

Instructions from JAMB

  • All candidates can simply send RESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration.
  • After entering the information correctly, the result, would be replied as an SMS shortly after.
  • Step 2: kindly Type ‘RESULT’ followed by candidate’s surname, first name, and middle name, and

The above is the correct format.

I didn’t see my 2023/2024 JAMB results after sending RESULT to 55019:

There are some possible reasons why you couldn’t get your result which am going to explain here.

  • First make sure the sim you are making use of is the same SIM used in registring JAMB and your profile.
  • Ensure that the SIM has a minimum balance of 50 naira.
  • Ensure you type the word RESULT in capital letter
