There are many reasons why students prefer UNN postgraduate schools to others. It could be because they believe quite well that UNN postgraduate school is very cheap in terms of fees compared to most states universities postgraduate schools.

Note that other cost will definitely be incurred and also have it in mind that UNN post graduate school is not located inside the town so you have to plan for other logistics.
Important notice to all UNN postgraduate students :
- Immediately you have secured your admission into the university of Nigeria Nsukka postgraduate school you need pay a one time acceptance fee. Please have it in mind that this is not a new thing. It is a tradition in all institution be it public or privately owned.
- There is what the school called late payment fee. If you fail to pay your fees on time or before the deadline given you will be force to pay additional fee as a penalty.
- UNN school fees, acceptance fee and sundry expenses must be paid in full, if you are planning to pay it in installment have it in mind that you won’t be allowed to.

Fees are paid per session and not semester in UNN.
So as a social science student, it will cost me approximately 600,000.00,to complete PhD in social work, just for school fees only with in a period of three years. Please I would like some one to give me info. As regards to accommodation, are my going to sort to accommodation by my self or do the school have a provision for the students? I mean fresh postgraduate (PhD) students.Moreover which time of the year do they formally advertise the admission?
