Maritime Academy was once know as Nautical College of Nigeria before it name was change to the Maritime Academy . The Maritime Academy has been existing for ages originally established in 1979 . Please note that the institution is own by the Federal government.

The main objective of the Maritime Academy Oron is to train and educate shipboard officers, ratings and shore-based management personnel.

Its another academic year again in which interested candidates who want to study in the prestigious Maritime Academy Oron are given the opportunity to come forward to get the institution admission form which will enable them apply for any academic programmes of their choices as offered by the institution.

Just like every other universities in Nigeria, the Maritime Academy Oron has adopted the post UTME aptitude test which will be conducted for prospective applicants before they will be admitted.

We have it on good authority that the post UTME Exams will be made up of Oral Test, Physical Fitness, Written test and Medical Examination. So you have to prepare your self very well in this areas.

  • Nautical Science: Minimum cutoff mark of 180

School of Engineering

  • Marine Engineering: Minimum cut-off mark of 180
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering: Minimum point of 180

School of Maritime Studies

  • Maritime Transport and Business Studies: Minimum cut-off of 160

How to Apply for Maritime Academic Application Form

Application form is 2000 naira while bank charges is 300 naira.

First log in to http://maritimeacademy.gov.ng/PostJamb/

  • Stage 1: Login to your account
  1. The first step requires you to quickly login
  2. Login with your JAMB reg. number while your jamb score should be your password.
  • Step two: update your profile
  1. When you are logged in, upload your passport photos and make sure it meet the requirements which is 200 DPI in resolution, 100kb and must be saved in JPEG and PNG format.
  • Stage 3: Educational Background
  • click on Educational Background and choose ND, choose the number of sittings, remember it must not exceed two sittings.

How to Make payment

  • Click Make Payment and
  • select the best payment option that fits you.

I for one will prefer the online debit card payment option because it is faster but if you don’t have a debit card you can choose the Bank Counter Payment option and generate a Transaction ID, go to the bank to pay.

  3. Cross check all your details before submitting and please print out your acknowledgement slip.
