Douglas beat other 36 contestants to win the crown at the finale of the pageant, which took place in Bayelsa State

Unlike before or previous edition of Miss Nigeria, beauty have been the yardstick used to select winners of the title but it seems that all this is going to change as the new Creative Director, Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha, has vowed that other attributes such as your ability to manage finance, your level of education and intelligence and health will no be use as a yardstick to select the best among the contestants.
